Technical Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a product-focused technology team and support the delivery of new features, enhancements, and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear requirements and supporting successful software delivery.

The role requires a strong analytical mindset, technical understanding, and the ability to work collaboratively with developers, testers, product teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business and technical requirements for new features and system enhancements.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications, user stories, use cases, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA engineers, and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
• Analyse technical constraints, dependencies, risks, and implementation considerations.
• Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including process flows, system diagrams, API documentation, and data models.
• Assess solution feasibility and contribute to defining appropriate implementation approaches.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Identify delivery risks, blockers, and gaps, proactively communicating them to relevant stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation, and product enhancements.
• Work across BAU activities, proof of concepts (PoCs), and change initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role within software/product development environments.
• Strong experience gathering, analysing, and documenting requirements.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable development tasks.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and delivery processes.
• Experience working with developers, testers, architects, and technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of databases, data modelling concepts, APIs, integrations, and software testing practices.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Jira, or similar backlog management platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, including Teams, SharePoint, One Note, and Office documentation tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with process transformation or business process improvement.
