Material Handler

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintain an accurate inventory of parts at designated locations and be responsible for moving inventory to and from the receiving docks, expediting when appropriate.

• Maintain a safe work environment; adhere to safety policies, procedures and processes.
• Operate forklift, walkie rider, and other material handling equipment to move parts to point of use on the production floor and expedite parts when needed.
• Set up material storage racks, bins, carts, etc. for proper storage to prevent damage or loss.
• Create and maintain bins and drop areas for part deliveries and removal.
• Support assembly technicians in lifting and moving materials on the production floor.
• Accurately count parts and cycle count when directed; file rejected parts daily.
• Move and empty trash containers into appropriate hoppers.
• Record part shortage information in appropriate areas and to leadership.
• Receive work direction from the department leader.

Hourly pay rate will be $21.27.

• Previous forklift operating experience.
• Previous employment with warehouse, shipping and receiving responsibilities.
• Good written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and follow verbal and written directions.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast‑paced production environment.
• Ability to listen and be aware of shipping/receiving/production floor activity to support a safe and hazard‑free working environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
