The Production Packaging Associate is an entry level position responsible for proper packaging of materials and finished products, loading, moving material, and operating packaging equipment. The role also requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
- Demonstrate punctuality and adhere to the work schedule.
- Work well and effectively with others (teamwork attitude).
- Adhere to company General Manufacturing Policies.
- Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized.
- Monitor conveyor belts and clear bottle jams from lines.
- Pick up dropped bottles and place them into designated bins.
- Place discarded bottles into grinder if applicable.
- Inspect the quality of bottles during production, packaging, and labeling.
- Perform bottle inspections such as drop tests for designated lines.
- Escalate all bottle abnormalities, defects, and quality issues immediately.
- Monitor supply levels of packaging materials and replenish as needed.
- Ensure correct labeling, bottle description, and packaging in accordance with specific customer requirements.
- Move finished goods to designated area.
- Ensure efficient set‑up and organization of workstations; maintain inventory levels and restock supplies to facilitate smooth transitions between shifts.
- Complete duties as assigned by management.
- Adapt duties to plant‑specific equipment and design.
- Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Basic computer experience.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Completion of Altium Production/Packaging Associate I training within 90 days of hire.
The employee frequently stands, walks, uses hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reaches out, over, and below with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and frequently must lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds.
Work EnvironmentRegular exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noise levels, temperature variations. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Targeted Pay Range$16.88 - $21.59 per hour.
