Wound Care Nurse Practitioner
Full‑time position with Healing Partners. The role involves traveling to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities within your local area to plan, direct, and evaluate resident and employee healthcare. You will work closely with a medical director, staff, and primary care physicians to deliver wound assessment, treatment, and education.
Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and evaluate resident and employee health care in long‑term care.
- Travel daily to various facilities; regions may vary based on scheduling needs.
- Examine and treat chronic and acute wound‑related illnesses and accidents, including minor injuries.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend appropriate follow‑up.
- Refer to physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside procedures associated with wound care.
- Collaborate with the medical director in the care and treatment of residents and staff.
- Perform debridement of wounds by sharp, enzymatic, autolytic, or surgical methods at the patient visit.
- Apply and manage topical wound care products.
- Recommend services to improve wound healing outcomes.
- Educate patients and primary care physicians on current wound‑management practices.
- Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination.
- Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
- Current active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
- Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
- Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Able to stand and walk for 4+ hours.
- Able to lift 100 pounds to assist fallen residents.
- Able to lift 10 pounds for routine essential functions.
- Pushing/pulling 70+ pounds when administering patient care.
- Bending, squatting, kneeling, or twisting when administering patient care.
- Depth perception when performing medical procedures.
- Potential exposure to adverse indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, blood borne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks), and chemical hazards.
- Travel to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities within the local area.
- COVID vaccination required.
Full‑time
Salary$ – $ per year
Schedule- Day shift, Monday–Friday
- No nights, weekends, or on‑call duties.
