Join GLPP as a Float LPN and play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary care across multiple office settings. In this dynamic position, you will support physicians and care teams by administering medications and vaccines, assisting with patient exams and procedures, and helping coordinate comprehensive care for individuals and families. This role offers variety, collaboration, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while adapting to the needs of different practices within the network.
This full-time position will work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. No holidays, evenings or weekends are required. This position will float to different office locations in the network based on staffing needs, including locations in Cassadaga, Dunkirk, Fredonia and Silver Creek. Eligible candidates may qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $7,500 with a 2 year commitment to UPMC.
Responsibilities- Adhere to internal and system-wide competencies, behaviors, policies and procedures to ensure efficient work processes.
- Actively participate in monthly/departmental meetings and share ideas and suggestions for operational improvements.
- Maintain competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences with necessary documentation.
- Conduct interviews with patients to answer questions related to healthcare problems and provide necessary counseling utilizing all resource persons and materials available.
- Administer medications and vaccines as ordered by attending physician and keep abreast of changes in requirements for immunization, flu vaccines and allergy injections.
- Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing care for patients and their families.
- Assist physicians in patient examination and perform specialized procedures.
- Possess the ability to obtain and interpret information considering age-specific needs.
- Be responsible for sterilization of office equipment and ordering of stock supplies and keep appropriate records of same.
- Perform laboratory duties ensuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA.
- Identify and communicate educational needs of patients to their physician and provide teaching in these areas upon his/her request.
- Comply with all UPMC Health System policies and procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
