Description:
Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to research and test the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes, and develop quality standards. The role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards. Typically, candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Technical skills include the ability to make sketches and engineering drawings and experience using computer applications related to the engineering field.
The role will focus on updating and maintaining quality process documents for assembly and machining operations.
Education/
Experience:
2-4 years' experience required
Responsibility Level: Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor
Skills:
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem‑solving ability (Required)
- Team player and detail‑oriented (Required)
- Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports (Typically required)
- Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field
- Familiarity with IATF standards, AIAG core tools, and principles of engine operation desired but not a requirement
- Professional background and experience in the automotive industry
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Office tools
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Devise sampling procedures and design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
- Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities
- May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities
- May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application
