Research Scientist, Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Qualifications- PhD in physics or materials science
- Experience in the preparation of solid surfaces (preferably under UHV conditions) and/or in scanning probe microscopy techniques
- A strong publication record
- Scientific curiosity
- High motivation and enthusiasm, as well as independence and reliability
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Fluency in written and spoken English
The doctoral degree must have been obtained within 12 years prior to January 1 of the year of employment in the project. This period may be extended under special circumstances, in accordance with the regulations mentioned above. The candidate must have obtained their doctoral degree at an institution other than the one where employment on this position is planned, or must have completed at least a 10-month-long, continuous and documented postdoctoral fellowship at an institution other than the one implementing the project, and in a country different from the one where the doctoral degree was obtained.
ResponsibilitiesThe postdoctoral researcher will work on the patterning of metal oxide surfaces by ion beam sputtering and on the growth of gold clusters under ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) conditions.
