Responsibilities:
The candidate will be involved in conducting research on active galactic nuclei and X-ray binary star systems, including preparing observational proposals, acquiring and analysing observational data, and their subsequent interpretation. Responsibilities will also include performing "Daily Data Analysis" of data collected by the SST-1M Cherenkov telescopes, as well as actively participating in international collaborations related to the operation and use of these telescopes.

Skills/Qualifications
- 1) At least a master's degree in physics or astronomy.
- 2) Knowledge and skills in astrophysics, particularly in the area of active galactic nuclei, X-ray binary systems, and astronomical data analysis using specialised software.
- 3) Experience in conducting scientific research, evidenced by, for example, research project reports or participation in scientific conferences.
- 4) Knowledge of English sufficient to prepare scientific publications in the field of physics.
Specific Requirements

- 4) self-report describing the candidate's previous scientific and organizational experience, as well as indicating the candidate's scientific interests,
- 5) copy of a diploma certifying the award of at least a master's degree in physics or astronomy,
- 6) language certificate or other document confirming knowledge of the English language,
- 7) declaration of compliance with the conditions specified in Art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - The Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended),
- 8) a declaration that in the event of employment, the University of Białystok will be the candidate's primary place of work within the meaning of the aforementioned Act (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended),
- 9) information clause on the processing of personal data in accordance with the GDPR,
- 10) a declaration of having read the annex to Order No. 78 of the Rector of the University of Białystok of November 7, 2024, entitled "Procedure for reporting violations of law and taking follow-up actions at the University of Białystok,"
- 11) other documents and information that the candidate deems relevant (e.g., ability to use astronomical data analysis packages, programming skills).
