Position Description
We are looking for a committed, independent, and development-oriented individual for the position of Senior Research Engineer to join the Biobank Research Group and support the implementation of the research program conducted within the P4
Health project
.
The successful candidate will participate in scientific research projects involving biological samples and advanced analytical technologies, including spatial transcriptomics, digital pathology, molecular biology, and translational diagnostics. The role involves working with clinical specimens, performing laboratory analyses, processing research results, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of scientists and specialists.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an international research environment and contribute to projects developing innovative diagnostic solutions supporting personalized medicine.
Daily Responsibilities
- Conduct research activities related to the analysis of biological material obtained from patients.
- Prepare and process biological specimens for histopathological and molecular analyses.
- Perform research using modern molecular biology methods and histopathological techniques.
- Participate in projects related to spatial transcriptomics, digital pathology, and molecular biomarker validation.
- Operate specialized laboratory equipment and oversee the proper execution of analytical procedures.
- Process, analyze, and interpret research results.
- Maintain research documentation in accordance with applicable quality procedures.
- Collaborate with research team members and project partners.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, scientific publications, and project-related materials.
- Support the development of new research methods and diagnostic tools.
- Master’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Medical Biology, Medical Analytics, or a related field.
- Ability to independently plan and conduct experiments.
- Ability to analyze and interpret research data.
- Good command of English enabling work with scientific literature and project documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the field of spatial transcriptomics.
- Knowledge of digital pathology concepts and tools.
- Experience in biological and image data analysis.
- Experience working in a biobank or research institution.
- Knowledge of quality standards and laboratory procedures.
- Scientific achievements demonstrated through publications and/or participation in research projects.
