CeNT-32-2026 Director of Centre of New Technologies of the University of Warsaw, with the approval from the Rector of the University of Warsaw, announces the opening of the position of Postdoc (Senior Assistant) in the group of researchers in the Laboratory of Quantum Technologies– Centre of New Technologies of the University of Warsaw.
Project title:
Quantum Limits in coherent beams combination of optical signals
The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions specified in:
- Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571 with amendments) and the Statutes of the University of Warsaw;
- Article 122 of the Statutes of the University of Warsaw;
- Regulations on the allocation of resources for the implementation of tasks financed by the National Centre of Science for SONATA 19 grant 1
- PhD degree in physics. The candidate should hold a PhD degree for no longer than 7 years before the date of signing an employment agreement in the project.
- The PhD degree should be obtained in a country of the EU, EFTA, OECD or nostrified on the date of employment at the latest
- Knowledge of quantum mechanics/quantum information/quantum optics.
- Numerical skills in conducting simulations (e.g. knowledge of Wolfram Mathematica, Python or equivalent programming languages).
- Experience in writing scientific publications and presenting results at conferences or other meetings.
- Work on an ambitious project aimed at practical applications of quantum technologies.
- Authorship of papers in top scientific journals.
- Possibility to attend international scientific conferences.
- Possibility to learn many advanced methods of quantum information/quantum optics.
