Dean of Faculty of Animal Breeding and Biology, on behalf of the Rector of Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology announces a competition
for the position of assistant
(F/M) in the group of research and teaching
Research Field Medical sciences Veterinary medicine Education Level Master Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
The candidate must meet the following qualification criteria:
- hold a professional title of veterinarian (professional license number),
- have experience working with animals, especially livestock,
- have documented popular science/scientific achievements in the form of articles,
- have completed courses/trainings on animal reproduction, animal production, and preventive medicine, including participation in conferences dedicated to veterinarians,
for foreigners, a command of Polish, both spoken and written, sufficient to conduct classes with students is required.

The candidate is expected to demonstrate: a predisposition to working with students; availability and creativity; high personal culture; the ability to work in a team and on a team; and continuous improvement of professional competences.

Competition procedures are conducted in accordance with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and the Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment of Researchers (OTM-R).
Additional commentsThe assistant's duties will include:
- conducting classes with students in the following fields:
Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Inspection, Zoophysiotherapy and Animal Care, Veterinary Medicine in the areas of farm animal breeding and husbandry (including cattle), animal production technology, animal reproduction, preventive care, and standards of livestock and pets welfare. - organizational activities for the Department, Faculty, and University;
- performing administrative tasks related to the teaching process;
- developing popular science publications related to teaching activities;
- preparing applications for funding for research and teaching projects;
- conducting scientific activities within the field of veterinary sciences, including research, conference participation, and the development of scientific publications.
