Responsibilities

A facilities Specialist performs various repairs, renovations, or remodeling projects to correct building deficiencies and improve customer service efficiency. They also perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks for plumbing, electrical, lighting, and HVAC systems at all assigned facilities that are bank‑owned or leased under minimal supervision.

  • Provide exemplary customer service (internal and external).
  • Perform repairs, renovations, or remodeling to correct building deficiencies and improve customer service efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance tasks for plumbing, electrical, lighting, and HVAC systems at all assigned bank‑owned or leased facilities.
  • Assist with other general maintenance functions including seasonal maintenance tasks (e.g., snow removal and lawn care).
  • Assist with testing of emergency generators, when applicable.
  • Complete facilities inspection reports to assist in the assessment of deficiencies and plans for corrective action.
  • May be required to lift 50 pounds and perform laborer functions such as climbing and shoveling.
  • Maintain knowledge of and demonstrate compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner.
  • Work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions; the work environment may be noisy.
  • Be familiar with numerous tools and use appropriate safety features.
  • Travel (2 hours or more) may be required to reach job sites.
  • Provide assistance to the Facilities Department and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • Two-year college degree in a related field and/or specialized training in a related trade preferred.
  • General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, masonry, painting, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Ability to use necessary tools and equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Flexibility to travel and adjust daily work schedules as needed.
  • Minimum 2 years in facilities maintenance or construction, with experience performing routine repairs to heating, air conditioning, lighting, and electrical and plumbing systems. Experience with multiple facilities preferred.
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Other Job Information

Compensation: USD $20.00–$26.49 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus potential for an annual merit increase. In addition, the position offers benefits including 11 paid holidays, paid vacation, medical, vision, and dental insurance, 401(k) with generous match, pension, tuition reimbursement, banking discounts, and more.

Physical Demands: The job requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, and speaking. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The candidate must have close vision and ability to focus.
