JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, focusing on wastewater facilities and submersible sewage or wastewater pump systems.
- Operating and maintaining wastewater facilities and related plumbing systems to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Perform inspections, troubleshoot, and repair submersible sewage or wastewater pumps.
- Install, repair, and maintain water, gas, and sewage systems in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Read blueprints, layouts, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and repair of plumbing systems.
- Identify and address plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and pump malfunctions.
- Document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to achieve operational goals and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and plumbing codes when carrying out assignments.
- At least three (3) years of work experience in the maintenance and repair of submersible sewage or wastewater pumps.
- Knowledge and hands‑on experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater facilities.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, wastewater operations, and applicable codes and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid passport, capable of international travel, valid for at least one (1) year at the time of hiring.
- Must successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.
- Journeyman‑level plumbing certification or equivalent training in plumbing and wastewater systems.
- Prior experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi‑national workforce.
- Valid country driver’s license and passport.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and time‑management skills.
- Familiarity with plumbing tools, equipment, and techniques required for large‑scale plumbing operations.
