Senior HVAC & Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary

Senior HVAC/R Technician duties include performing and overseeing preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of HVAC/R equipment at Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Training Center.

• Serve as property expert on all HVAC/R equipment.
• Complete work orders for HVAC/R equipment, producing quality results.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain logs.
• Identify problems, initiate work orders, and complete assignments.
• Perform duty rounds using daily checklists, report and correct problems.
• Coach and mentor other technicians.
• Audit and inspect work of other techs and provide feedback.
• Use the Building Management System and Life Safety System; training provided.
• Maintain a safe, clean, efficient workspace and inventory of tools.
• Work safely using PPE and safety protocols.
• Use maintenance request system; training provided.
• Assist with maintenance requests for other trades as needed.

• Four years’ experience in similar HVAC/R position.
• Associate’s degree or higher in HVAC/R or related fields preferred.
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• EPA CFC Type I and Type II certification required;
  Universal certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and plumbing blueprints.
• Skilled with tools required in this trade.
• Texas Driver’s License with good driving record preferred.

• $26.00 – $32.00 per hour.
