Maintenance Specialist II
Able to effectively perform work in the following trades: electricity, carpentry, plumbing, and general maintenance with a high degree of proficiency.
Minimum qualifications:
Two or more years' experience in the above stated fields or a license in one field. High school graduate or an equivalency diploma preferred but not required. Must be able to perform physical labor with unrestricted ability to lift. Experience in a multi-location and diversified maintenance setting preferred. A valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier is required.
Specific duties:
- Accomplishes a high level of general maintenance repair to include, but not limited to: floor coverings, masonry, patching, painting, taping and installation of drywall, downspout and minor shingle repair, acoustical ceilings, fabrication, H.V.A.C.'s and boiler service, etc. Must possess the skills to complete the majority of these tasks.
- Assists in minor electrical and plumbing jobs to code and has the ability to listen and learn from the management time detailed electrical and plumbing.
- Works with Maintenance Specialist 3's and Management Team on projects and is comfortable taking direction in a team setting and follow through on those instructions independently with limited supervision.
- Has the ability to troubleshoot while on the jobsite and complete most tasks encountered.
- Performs ground maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Ability to work independently on a tablet or mobile devices using the CMMS software to complete work orders, attach pictures, scan out supplies, and checking on item age and history by scanning appliance and asset codes.
- Able to carry and utilize an agency credit card and use banking software weekly to timely add receipts and dollar amounts to each billing entity product is purchased for.
- Ability to work in a residential setting and support individuals with disabilities in creating a safe and comfortable living environment, while assisting in commercial site maintenance when needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
