DNA, a pioneering biotech startup, is revolutionizing DNA damage detection with its advanced STRIDE platform. We are seeking a seasoned software engineer to enhance our scientific endeavors.
As a Software Engineer, you will take responsibility for development and maintenance of our image analysis system. This system is utilized by our data analysts and scientists, with plans for future expansion to external users.
- Designing and building system for scientists and data analysts, on top of AWS services
- Developing frontend and backend components of the system
- Working with other members of the team on establishing project requirements and scope, planning and execution
- Ownership and support of production applications (including monitoring, alerting and infrastructure maintenance)
- Introducing and following software engineering best practices
- All-round software development (frontend and backend)
- Fluency in Python
- Experience with AWS services and Terraform
- Software engineering experience across the entire software development and delivery lifecycle
- Being driven by the impact and value delivered by your work
- A startup mindset - being focused on execution and ready to move fast
- Readiness to work on a wide range of tasks and technical challenges, even outside of your domain of expertise
- Willingness to learn our domain - the biology behind DNA breaks, the challenges of microscopy imaging, or scientific publications on image analysis
- Experience with UI frontend frameworks
- Experience in building and maintaining systems under compliance with industry requirements
