Senior Automation QA Engineer

SOFTSWISS continues to expand the team and is looking for Senior Automation QA Engineer. We need a true, experienced professional who shares our culture and values.

The SOFTSWISS Sports book is a software platform designed for launching and managing a successful online sports betting business. The Sports book team’s goal is to develop truly innovative software that will make the process of creating and running a bookmaker website faster and easier for our clients. We are searching for driven individuals who are passionate about what they do and are ready to work on engaging tasks and exciting projects together.

This role combines hands‑on automation expertise, and strategic ownership of test stability, CI/CD integration, automation‑first practices and modern AI‑driven testing practices. The Senior AQA will work closely with the QA Tech Lead and the Development team to ensure predictable release quality, stable automation pipelines, and high visibility of quality metrics across the entire engineering team.

Technologies and tools we use:
Java 25, Maven, TestNG, Selenide, Selenium Grid, Rest Assured, OpenAPIGenerator, Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgresSQL, Centrifugo, Mock server, Report Portal, Test Rail.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize automated tests for Sports book applications and services.
• Conduct code reviews for other AQA engineers and establish best practices for clean, reusable test code.
• Perform daily analysis of test runs results and provide comprehensive reports.
• Investigate automation failures and keep the automated suite stable.
• Document and track defects using Test Rail, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Create and update test cases and automated tests.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level AQA engineers.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Continuously improve test frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Optimize routine workflows using AI.

• 6+ years of test automation experience in Java.
• Solid hands‑on experience in UI and API automation (Selenium or Selenide, Rest Assured, Maven, TestNG or JUnit).
• Practical experience with AI coding assistants (Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) is a must.
• Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing tools.
• Strong understanding of software testing processes and SDLC.
• Profound understanding of HTTP and web‑application principles.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture, including the ability to test service‑to‑service communication, data flows, and fault tolerance.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with SQL and one of the major databases.
• Hands‑on experience with MQ‑brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like Sentry, Grafana, and others.
