Senior Fullstack Engineer; React​/.Net

OEC creates automotive technology, helping repair shops, auto part distributors, and manufacturers run their businesses more effectively and profitably. We increase efficiency across the automotive aftermarket, OEM, collision, mechanical, and supply chain spaces by connecting repair shops, dealers, parts distributors, and manufacturers.

We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work across both our legacy platform and a greenfield product. You will lead UI modernization efforts, help shape the new product's architecture, and contribute across the full stack — from backend services to user-facing interfaces.

• Build and ship full stack features using React on the frontend and .NET on the backend.
• Lead the migration of legacy AngularJS UI components to React, working pragmatically within an existing Java-based codebase.
• Design and develop new product features from the ground up using our target stack: .NET, React, and AWS.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across APIs, UI layers, data, and integrations.
• Improve application performance, reliability, and operability in a cloud environment.
• Drive code quality through design reviews, PR feedback, and engineering standards.
• Partner with other engineers to break down and deliver complex cross-functional work.

• 5+ years of experience building software in full-stack roles, with a strong emphasis on frontend development.
• Expertise in React and modern frontend technologies, ability to work confidently in component-driven UI architecture.
• Backend engineering experience with .NET.
• Cloud proficiency required, hands-on experience with AWS is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable navigating and improving legacy codebases.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Structured-Prompt-Driven Development (SPDD) — ability to design, structure, and iterate on prompts as a core part of the engineering workflow.
• Proficiency with the latest AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Git Hub Copilot, Claude Code) and the ability to integrate them effectively into day-to-day software development.
• Working knowledge of Git and modern version control practices.

• Experience with Java backends — useful for navigating and extending the existing platform during the transition period.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
• Docker/container-based workflows.
• Experience contributing to platform modernization or migration projects.

• AI-assisted development is supported in daily work.
• Claude Code and Git Hub Copilot are included and actively used by the team.
