About usWe believe the next generation of financial services will be powered by stable coins. Founded in 2021, our mission at BVNK is to accelerate global money movement. We’re building stablecoin-native infrastructure so businesses can move value instantly across borders and networks. With global licenses and T1 bank partnerships, we facilitate billions in transactions for enterprise clients like Worldpay, Deel, Lian Lian Global, and Rapyd.
Our technology is transforming how businesses operate globally by eliminating payment delays, reducing costs, and unlocking trapped capital. We’re a diverse team spread across EMEA, North America, and APAC, with a shared belief that stable coins are the new infrastructure layer for financial services, and that BVNK is at the forefront of this shift.
In 2025, we secured strategic investment from Visa, following our $50 million Series B with Haun Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Scribble Ventures, DRW Venture Capital, Avenir, and Tiger Global. With the backing of these leading investors, we’re accelerating our growth – and we're looking for smart, ambitious people to help us build the future of financial services.
We're incredibly honored to have made Newsweek's list of The Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces three years running (most recently in 2025) and to have been recognised by Linked In as one of the Top 20 Startups in the UK in 2024.
Senior Software Engineer – Cards TeamWe're looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Cards team. Our goal is to build out a seamless card issuing and transaction platform that bridges crypto and fiat - enabling merchants to offer their customers instant access to funds through physical and virtual cards.
Traditional card programmes have often been rigid, slow to integrate, and limited in their ability to handle multi‑currency flows across crypto and fiat rails. With our platform, we’re breaking down these barriers by delivering a modern card infrastructure that handles everything from tokenization and sensitive card data to real‑time transaction enrichment and settlement. This allows our merchants to offer card products that work fluidly across currencies, with the security, speed, and reliability their customers expect.
By building this from the ground up, we’re creating a best‑in‑class card experience that sits at the intersection of traditional payments and digital assets.
Our product and engineering organisation is split into small autonomous squads empowered to own their problem space. You’ll be expected to form strong opinions and execute in a fast but sustainable way, advocating for the simplest solution that achieves the outcomes our customers are looking for.
Key Areas of Responsibilities- Design and implement card platform features end‑to‑end - from tokenization and sensitive card data handling to transaction enrichment and settlement workflows
- Build and maintain integrations with card issuers and payment processors
- Architect systems spanning multiple services, ensuring scalability, security, and PCI compliance
- Own features and projects from inception to completion, breaking down complex domains into deliverable work items
- Drive cross‑team technical initiatives around shared libraries, patterns, and infrastructure
- Actively review code across the team, providing constructive and in‑depth feedback
- Contribute to our engineering culture by mentoring teammates and setting quality standards
- 5+ years experience as a Backend Engineer, preferably in Fin Tech or payments
- Expertise in Java and Spring Boot
- Experience building and maintaining APIs and services in a microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of card payments, issuing, or transaction processing
- Enthusiasm for adopting AI‑assisted development tooling (e.g., Claude Code, AI code review agents) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality across the squad
- Ability to self‑direct work and scale from well‑scoped tasks to multi‑sprint initiatives
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, comfortable working independently or collaboratively across squads
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration…
