We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Developer to join our Shared Services branch of the Engineering Team. The successful candidate will build a new suite of services that provide cohesion for other services developed across the business, collaborating closely with team leaders and stakeholders. Projects will focus on AI, requiring an open‑minded developer who seeks new technologies on their own initiative and produces robust code.

• Execute software development projects from concept to deployment, adhering to best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance, focusing on scalable and robust solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to development projects.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement processes, including code reviews, performance analysis, and feedback loops to enhance the development lifecycle.
• Use agile development methodologies, promoting adaptive planning, evolutionary development, and early delivery of value. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline processes and improve project efficiency.
• Work with team members to foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning, professional growth, and a passion for quality code, creativity, and problem solving.

• Stay up to date with new technology trends and best practices in Python development and Databricks.
• Continuously improve the codebase, fix bugs, and optimize performance.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement processes, including code reviews, performance analysis, and feedback loops to enhance the overall development lifecycle.

• 4+ years in commercial development.
• In‑depth understanding of Python stacks, frameworks and tools such as PySpark, Delta Table, pyodbc, psycopg

• Proficiency in Test‑Driven Development, unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Familiarity with SQL, Docker and cloud platforms (Azure).
• Excellent communication, teamwork, detail‑oriented and analytical skills.

• Experience with PostgreSQL administration/maintenance.
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops CI/CD and release pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with API design and development.
