Senior AI Platform Engineer; Agent Framework Lead

We're looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer (Agent Framework Lead) to design and lead the development of a next-generation agent framework for AI-driven systems.

In this role, you will define how agents are built, orchestrated, and executed at scale — across multiple runtimes and frameworks. The focus is on creating reusable abstractions, standardizing patterns, and enabling reliable multi-agent workflows using modern tooling such as Lang Graph, Strands, and AWS Bedrock Agent Core.

You’ll operate at the intersection of platform engineering and applied AI, shaping how agent-based systems are built, deployed, and observed across the organization.

Our teams are involved in the engineering of core platform components for best‑in‑class eCommerce, Digital Marketing and IoT solutions. As an Engineer, you will become a part of Core Architecture Team and be responsible for the architecture, implementation of best practices in our Digital Engineering Enterprise Platform.

The Platform is a set of services and internet applications that accelerate the development and delivery of software applications by taking care of common SDLC challenges. The Platform provides access and consumption for engineering teams to a set of services, technologies, practices for their development and for operating their application, ensuring a set of compliance and best practices.

Project is in production for 2+ years, being supported by multiple teams.

• Lead the design and development of agent frameworks and SDKs using Lang Graph, Strands, or similar tools
• Define and implement multi‑agent orchestration patterns (ReAct, supervisor, A2A delegation, hierarchical flows)
• Design and evolve agent execution flows using Bedrock Agent Core Runtime and related AWS services
• Implement and standardize MCP / A2A protocols for agent communication and tool integration
• Develop declarative configuration systems (YAML + Pydantic schemas) for agent behavior and workflows
• Ensure cross‑framework compatibility

• Integrate observability and tracing using Open Telemetry (ADOT, X‑Ray, Cloud Watch)
• Collaborate with platform and AI teams to define best practices and reusable patterns
• Contribute to internal framework governance, documentation, and developer experience
• Provide technical leadership in shaping the agent platform architecture

• AWS Bedrock Agent Core Runtime (Bedrock Agent Core App , invocation lifecycle)
• Declarative config patterns (YAML‑driven Pydantic schemas)
• aws-open telemetry-distro (ADOT traces to X‑Ray + Cloud Watch)

• 5+ years Python engineering
• Production experience with Lang Graph or Strands Agents (or equivalent)
• Designed or contributed to an internal agent framework or SDK
• Multi‑agent coordination patterns (supervisor, swarm, hierarchical)

• Experience with both Lang Graph and Strands (dual‑framework strategy)
• bedrock‑agentcore SDK internals and agentcore.json deployment config
