Development Team Leader (Python)

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for guiding a development team. You will lead by example, driving engineering excellence, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, scalable software. You will foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, working closely with other Team Leaders, Architects, and stakeholders. You will help shape technical direction, streamline delivery processes, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Python developers, ensuring alignment on goals, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Mentor and coach team members to support their technical and professional growth.
  • Drive engineering excellence by promoting best practices in coding, architecture, and testing.
  • Plan and manage team capacity, sprints, and milestones to ensure predictable delivery.
  • Collaborate with other Team Leaders, Development Managers, Architects, and Product Owners to align engineering execution with business objectives.
  • Ensure effective adoption and execution of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) within the team.
  • Contribute to the evolution of development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and Dev Ops practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of commercial software development experience.
  • 2+ years leading Scrum teams with a solid grasp of Agile methodologies.
  • Strong technical expertise in Python and object‑oriented programming.
  • Experience in .NET ecosystem.
  • Experience with microservices, distributed architecture, GraphQL, REST APIs, event buses, and message queues (RabbitMQ).
  • Proficiency in Test‑Driven Development, unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Familiarity with SQL/No

    SQL (MsSQL, MongoDB), Docker, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork, attention to detail, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • An analytical mindset with a knack for leading by example.
  • Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead by example.
  • Experience with front‑end technologies (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and modern Dev Ops practices.
  • Experience with AWS/Azure cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools.
