Senior Data Engineer; AWS

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for one of our clients.

The client is one of the TOP-3 global management consulting firms considered to be among the most prestigious ones in the world. Hundreds of customers from Fortune-500, including the largest global financial institutions, the world’s top media companies, technology companies and federal government agencies rely on our client’s proven platform and services.

The project You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining high‑quality data pipelines and infrastructure in adherence to data engineering standards and best practices. You will actively collaborate with team members, product teams in different portfolios and stakeholders alike.

You will be an active learner: tinkering with new products and services, using unfamiliar technologies, and encouraging continuous research inside and outside the current focus fields. You will provide leadership in the development and strategic direction of new products, processes, technologies.

Technology Stack: Python, PySpark, AWS Glue, PL/SQL, Cloud Formation and Terraform, CI/CD, PowerBI, Tableau, Athena, and Lambda, Jira, Git Hub, Snowflake

Location: Poland (Remote), India (office)

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to move data between cloud‑native databases (e.g., Snowflake) and SaaS providers using AWS Glue and Python
• Implement and manage ETL/ELT processes to ensure seamless data integration and transformation
• Ensure information security and compliance with data governance standards
• Maintain and enhance data environments, including data lakes, warehouses, and distributed processing systems
• Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git Hub) to manage code and collaborate effectively with the team

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience in Data Engineering
• Deep technical skills in AWS Glue (Crawler, Data Catalog)
• Hands‑on experience with Python and Py Spark
• PL/SQL experience
• Cloud Formation and Terraform
• CI/CD Git Hub actions
• Experience with BI systems (PowerBI, Tableau)
• Good understanding of AWS services like S3, SNS, Secret Manager, Athena, and Lambda: 5+ years
• Additionally, familiarity with any of the following is highly desirable:
  Jira, Git Hub, Snowflake
• English:
  Upper-Intermediate or higher
• Highly proactive – ability to figure out who to reach out to and how to get things done independently
• Stakeholder management – comfortable interacting with various stakeholders, from senior developers to product managers
• Curious mindset – challenges existing processes and looks for continuous improvement
