Senior AI Software Engineer (AI):
Designing and building backend or full-stack agentic systems that orchestrate LLM-powered workflows with an accent on architectural scalability, performance, and robust deployment. Focus on product ionizing emerging AI frameworks, building durable multi-step reasoning pipelines, and integrating intelligent workflows into core products.
Location:
On-site (Sydney, London, Poland, or New Zealand).
Simple Machines is a senior-only boutique technology and consulting firm specializing in architecting and engineering scalable data platforms and software systems for an AI-driven world.
What you will do- Design and build agentic systems that orchestrate LLM-powered workflows using frameworks like Lang Graph or Lang Chain.
- Develop agentic pipelines and integrate APIs and data services for reasoning-driven automation.
- Implement robust application logic, focusing on system design, performance, testing, and deployment.
- Work hands-on across architecture and implementation to deliver production-grade intelligent solutions.
- Collaborate with a team of senior engineers to solve complex engineering challenges beyond prototyping.
- Strong software engineering background with hands-on development expertise in full-stack or server-side environments.
- Demonstrated experience with Lang Graph or Lang Chain focused on production-grade applications.
- Experience designing or implementing agentic workflows, orchestration layers, or multi-step reasoning pipelines.
- Mindset aligned with data or platform engineering rather than pure model research or training.
- Capability to work on-site at one of the firm's office locations.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar patterns.
- Focus on building modern platforms rather than maintaining legacy systems.
- Work in a senior-only environment with high professional standards.
- High degree of autonomy and influence over engineering outcomes.
- Exposure to high-impact, real-world AI applications.
