We are seeking an exceptionally skilled Senior 5G L1/PHY Firmware Consultant with over a decade of hands‑on experience in wireless communication technologies and physical layer software architecture.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, optimizing, and integrating low‑level 5G L1/PHY C‑code for advanced single‑chip radio products. You will work closely with cross‑functional architecture, hardware, and verification teams in an Agile environment to push the boundaries of radio signal processing performance.
Requirements- NXP VSPA Expertise – Proven, in‑depth experience in programming and optimizing algorithms on the NXP VSPA (Vector Signal Processing Accelerator) architecture.
- 10+ Years of Experience with xtensive background in embedded systems architecture, low‑level DSP programming, and multi‑core embedded systems.
- Hands‑on experience with LTE / 5G L1/PHY protocol stacks, radio signal processing, and RF front‑end software interfaces.

Strong working knowledge and regular experience navigating 3
GPP technical specifications (focusing on L1/PHY). - Expert proficiency in C, with a focus on high‑performance memory management and hardware‑software co‑design.
- Advanced capability in software verification, logic analysis, and system‑level debugging on embedded targets.
- Native or fluent (C1/C2) level of written and spoken English.
- 5G L1/PHY Firmware Development:
Design, implement, and optimize highly efficient C code for single‑chip radio platforms and multi‑core CPU architectures. - Leverage NXP VSPA vector processing capabilities to achieve ultra‑low latency and maximum throughput in physical layer signal processing algorithms.
- Extend and enhance customer product control firmware, showcasing flagship product features and capabilities.
- Drive end‑to‑end integration of new 3
GPP features into existing LTE/5G RAN L1/PHY software stacks. - Perform root‑cause analysis, complex software troubleshooting, and verification to resolve system‑level performance bottlenecks.
- Engage proactively with hardware engineers, software architects, domain experts, and QA teams to ensure seamless system reliability and compliance with 3
GPP specifications. - Agile Execution:
