Position: Delivery Trainee (CDL Pathway)
About the Role Furniture land South is looking for motivated individuals to join our Home Delivery team as In‑Home Delivery Apprentices. This is an entry‑level, hands‑on role designed for candidates who are eager to learn the delivery business from the ground up while working alongside experienced  this position, you’ll help deliver and set up high‑quality furnishings in customers’ homes, representing Furniture land South with professionalism and care.

This role is intentionally designed as a training and growth opportunity for individuals interested in building a long‑term career in home delivery and transportation.

What You’ll DoTravel with the Home Delivery team to customer homes for deliveries and pick‑ups Assist with loading and unloading furniture and safely moving items into homes

Help place, set up, and protect furnishings according to customer expectations

Perform product checks before and after delivery to ensure furniture arrives in excellent condition

Deliver friendly, professional customer service in residential settings

Follow all company safety standards and delivery procedures

Support the delivery team with maintaining a clean, organized truck and work areaA Clear Growth Path — CDL Training & Advancement This role does not require a CDL permit or CDL license to start, and you do not need to be legally eligible for a CDL at the time of hire.

However, this is a career‑track position. Once you are legally eligible to obtain a CDL permit, it is expected that you will take the steps to do so as part of your professional development. Furniture land South will support you through the process of earning your CDL, with the goal of progressing into a full Home Delivery role for individuals who demonstrate commitment, reliability, and strong performance.

What We’re Looking For Dependable individuals with a strong work ethic and positive attitude

Interest in hands‑on, physical work and learning a skilled trade

Strong customer service mindset and professionalism in client homes

Ability to lift, carry, and move furniture with a delivery partner (including stairs)
Willingness to learn delivery procedures, safety practices, and equipment use Clean driving record (MVR) required

Openness to career growth and pursuing a CDL when legally eligible
