Job OverviewAs a Quality Inspector III you will use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect arriving, in‑process, and completed aerospace products for conformance to engineering requirements and quality specifications.
What You Will Do- Use a variety of measuring devices, testing equipment, computer software, and process control documents to perform in‑process and final verification inspections of aerospace products.
- Load, operate, and unload Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for product inspection.
- Work with product stakeholders to determine and report product status to internal and external customers.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and inspections on products undergoing FAA Conformity.
- Prioritize and manage tasks to ensure area efficiency semi‑autonomously.
- Raise notifications of non‑conformance, quarantine non‑conforming product, and assist in root‑cause analysis of discrepant product.
- High school diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education related to the discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work semi‑independently.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
- Ability to apply intermediate skills by adapting or writing new procedures, techniques, and tools.
- Base knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and basic to intermediate math skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace standards.
- Working knowledge of industry software including Teamcenter, SAP, Discus, Net Inspect, and Minitab (or similar data‑analysis software).
