Materials Associate I – Shipping/Receiving (Onsite)
As a Materials Associate I in Shipping/Receiving, you will work in a fast‑paced team environment bringing material into the factory and shipping finished products to customers worldwide. The role includes receiving raw material and purchased products from suppliers, transporting goods throughout the factory, and packaging finished hardware for safe and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare items for shipping, noting contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details using proper procedures and materials.
- Receive, check, store, issue, and ship a variety of items while maintaining inventory control.
- Use assistance and/or powered mechanical means, including forklifts, to load, unload, store, and deliver incoming and outgoing material.
- Proficiently use computer hardware and software.
- Maintain contact with personnel from various customers and support areas to ensure accuracy of material/processes.
- Cycle count applicable inventory per the cycle‑count process requirements.
- Use assorted measuring and weight‑recording devices.
- Keep equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Knowledge of EH&S regulations and willingness to attend required training courses.
- Ability to follow EH&S roles and responsibilities in accordance with the Cargo Policy MP5322.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Experience with forklifts or other powered mechanical means of material handling.
