Development Services Coordinator – University of Jamestown
Location: Jamestown, North Dakota
Employment Type: Full‑time, in‑person, 12‑month staff position, 40 weekly hours

The University of Jamestown is seeking a dependable, detail‑orientated individual to join our team as a Development Services Coordinator. As the Development Services Coordinator, you will support the operational success of the Institutional Advancement team through donor database management, gift processing, reporting, and advancement operations support. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate constituent and gift records within Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT while supporting fundraising, stewardship, alumni engagement, and reporting efforts across the department.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with data, systems, and cross‑department collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Database Administration
- Manage day‑to‑day administration of Raiser’s Edge NXT by maintaining accurate gift and constituent records, ensuring reliable data entry and system integrations
- Coordinate integrations between Raiser’s Edge and related platforms (eTeams, One Cause, Benevity, Almabase), including monitoring data flow, imports, and record accuracy
- Maintain data integrity and consistent database standards
- Assist with list generation, segmentation, and reporting needs
- Gift Processing & Reporting
- Process gifts, pledges, recurring donations, and matching gifts
- Generate gift acknowledgements and tax receipts
- Reconcile gift records with finance/business office reports
- Prepare fundraising and campaign reports for leadership and staff
- Advancement Operations
- Support fundraising campaigns, stewardship efforts, and advancement initiatives
- Assist with online giving forms and system integrations
- Manage internal requests
- Help improve processes and operational efficiency across the department
- Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with development, alumni relations, marketing, and finance teams
- Provide reporting and technical support for advancement activities
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling donor information
- Ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and a customer‑oriented attitude
- Certifications:
None required
- Work is performed indoors with occasional outdoor tasks
- Large amount of work being performed is computer‑based. Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data management
- Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Must pass a criminal background check
