Job Description & Requirements
As a Civil Engineering Field Technician, you will work closely with project managers, project engineers, and other project team members on various civil engineering projects. Project types include but are not limited to facilities, development/infrastructure, municipal utilities, roads, streets, airports, and pipelines.
Knowledge of the Following is Preferred:
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
- Drafting experience in the engineering field is preferred.
- Willingness to travel on short notice and work extended hours during the construction season.
- Intermediate knowledge of construction methods and fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices, project scheduling, and deadlines.
- As the site representative, observe the construction of roads, bridges, storm sewers, drainage, water, sanitary sewers, and other public construction projects.
- Assists in the preparation of plans and specifications.
