Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 + Annual Bonus + Sign‑On Bonus $3K

About the RoleWe're seeking a Quality Assurance Manager who thrives in a small-town, close‑knit environment and is motivated to lead quality excellence at a high‑impact metals and raw materials operation. Jamestown, ND is a very remote area, and this role is ideal for someone who values focus, autonomy, and a strong sense of community. You'll lead our Quality Management System (QMS), ensure compliance with AS9100 standards, and champion continuous improvement across the plant.
This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence quality culture, develop people, and strengthen customer satisfaction. This position is a working manager role at a smaller site of 9 people. It requires hands‑on involvement, such as inspecting parts, supporting final inspections as needed, and visiting customer site to discuss and resolve quality issues. Employee must be US person/Green Card Holder - this is an ITAR Restricted.
You’ll Do
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with AS9100 and internal standards.
- Serve as the "voice of the customer" by addressing quality issues and driving root‑cause analysis.
- Mentor and develop Quality Engineers and Quality Assurance Representatives.
- Oversee audits, inspection planning, metrics, and performance expectations.
- Lead corrective actions, reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and manage MRB activities.
- Drive initiatives to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), implement corrective actions, and manage Material Review Board (MRB).
- Visit other sites (as needed) for training and coaching.
- Support Lean initiatives and operational efficiency improvements.
- Partner with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to achieve quality objectives.
- Lead:
- Quality planning
- Customer/vendor claim tracking and trend analysis
- Statistical process control
- Internal/external AS9100 audits
- Corrective & Preventative Action (CPAR) system
- Training in quality, Lean, and safety

- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering
- Experience with AS9100, TQM, ISO/QS9000, and SPC
- ISO Assessor Certification
- 1+ year of management/supervisory experience
- ASQ Certification
- AS9100 Lead Assessor Certification
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance/Control experience
- 3+ years of leadership or team‑building experience
- Training in strategic planning or team motivation
- Impactful leadership role with ownership of the full site quality program
