Position: E-Commerce Team Leader (In-Store Shopper Department Manager)

Team Leader, WFMOA: E-Commerce

Responsibilities
  • Drive the execution of product, labor, and customer demand metrics.
  • Perform micro‑functions including people management, non‑inventory management, account management, and problem solving.
  • Serve as the front‑line contact and first point of entry for team members and business partners.
  • Maintain focus on safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of the department.
  • Execute a best‑in‑class process to reduce costs.
  • Be the main point of contact for in‑store shoppers and cross‑department partners, ensuring excellent people skills.
  • Invent new strategies to improve team member and customer experience.
  • Operate in a highly ambiguous environment and communicate with direct store leadership daily.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert on all WFMOA processes, execution and tracking towards program KPI goals.
  • Support WFMOA customer delivery and pick‑up orders, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure the team of Associate Team Leaders, Supervisors, and members is hired, trained, and focused on satisfying customers.
  • Work and communicate with Store Leadership to drive operational improvement in KPIs and compliance with SOPs.
  • Maintain awareness of customer flows and direct Team Members to satisfy customer needs promptly.
  • Oversee the creation of the In‑Store Shopper Team schedule to meet staffing metrics and capacity.
  • Review hourly, daily, and weekly scheduling and order volume to ensure the shopper team can support incoming WFMOA orders.
  • Foster and encourage a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
  • Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all department areas including staging area and coolers, ensuring inventory is well‑stocked and properly rotated.
  • Consistently support and model WFM Leadership Principles and Core Values.
Basic Qualifications
  • 24+ months retail experience, including 12+ months in a managerial role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Prior experience leading high‑volume teams.
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons and as needed year‑round, including nights and weekends.
  • Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations‑related applications including scheduling and ordering software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in analytical work and using data to provide solutions.
  • Track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy.
  • Exceptional knowledge of new products, item location, pricing, and awareness of relevant competitors and industry trends.
  • Long‑term thinking and focus on large scale impact to the company.
Benefits

The wage range for this position is $23.60-$42.50 hourly, commensurate with experience.
