As a Materials Associate I in Shipping/Receiving, you will work in a fast paced team environment bringing material in to the factory and shipping finished product to our customers all over the world. This position is responsible for receiving raw material and purchased product from our suppliers, transporting goods throughout the factory, packaging finished hardware to ensure safe and timely delivery to our customers.
Individuals must be quality oriented, able to work well in a team environment, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details using proper procedures and materials.
- Receives, checks, stores, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control.
- Use assistance and/or powered mechanical means (including forklifts) to load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material.
- Proficiently using computer hardware/software.
- Maintain contact with personnel from various customers and support areas to ensure accuracy of material/process.
- Cycle count applicable inventory per the cycle count process requirements.
- Use assorted measuring and weight recording devices.
- Keep equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Must adhere to all EH&S regulations and policies as well as attend required training courses related to EH&S.
- Follow the EH&S roles and responsibilities in accordance with the Cargo Policy MP 5322.
