STAFF EDUCATION COORDINATOR
Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and conducting staff services. To assist in the monitoring and evaluations of factors, which directly and indirectly influence the care rendered to the agency’s patients. To provide oversight and direction for all orientation and ongoing education for the agency staff.

Qualifications- Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state.
- 3 years experience in home health or related programs with 1 year of supervisory or management experience which required responsibility for evaluation, training and personnel supervision.
- Experience in staff education is desirable.
- Must be capable of performing job duties.
- Prepares a program of orientation and ongoing education for the agency staff relative to the quality improvement plan, agency’s standards of care, clinical practice, and regulatory changes.
- Identifies general and specific needs of staff relative to their skills and makes arrangements for them to receive special training as dictated. Reviews plans with Assistant Administrator for approval.
- Designs the Agency’s in-service education plan and assures that proper in-service records are maintained. Reviews plan with Human Resource Director.
- Stays abreast of current practice in the home health fields and suggests texts, workshops and audio-visual materials and other resources which would be beneficial to the staff and recommends appropriate materials to Administrator for approval.
- Assists in updating agency staff on new or changing Medicare/Medicaid Government rules regulations.
- Assists Director of Patient Services in educating field staff in areas relating to patient care issues.
- Provides or coordinates ongoing education for Infection Control/OSHA according to agency and federal guidelines.
- Develops and implements appropriate safety policies.
- Is able to communicate (both verbal and written) clearly and effectively with all levels of staff, patients and physicians.
- Teaches in order to improve practice within the company.
- Attends in-services, seminars, or other meetings as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management.
- Maintains confidentiality of information related to business practices, business activities, and personnel.
- Maintains a professional attitude when working with staff, fostering the team philosophy and team environment for all personnel.
- Maintains a professional appearance at all time.
- Follows all agency policy and procedures.
