Graphic Designer

About The Role:

Fandom Wire is looking for a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for creating engaging visual assets across our website and social media platforms, including eye-catching thumbnails, promotional creatives, social posts, banners, and other digital content.
The ideal candidate understands internet culture, entertainment media, and American pop culture, and can quickly translate trending topics into compelling visual content that drives clicks, engagement, and audience growth.

Responsibilites:
Design high-performing website thumbnails for entertainment, gaming, anime, TV, movie, and celebrity-related content.
Create social media creatives for Fandom Wire's various platforms and affiliated social media handles.
Collaborate closely with the Social Media Head, Content Heads, and Editorial Team to execute creative requirements.
Develop graphics that align with Fandom Wire's brand identity while maximizing engagement and reach.
Create promotional materials for special projects, campaigns, reviews, features, and breaking news coverage.
Adapt designs for multiple platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X, You Tube, Pinterest, and other emerging platforms.
Stay updated with entertainment trends, fan communities, memes, and digital content best practices.
Deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines and fast-paced publishing schedules.
Maintain consistency across all visual assets and branding guidelines.
Requirements:
Proven experience in graphic design for digital media, publishing, entertainment, or social media brands.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other relevant design tools.
Experience creating thumbnails and social media creatives that are optimized for engagement.
Strong understanding of composition, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
Familiarity with Hollywood entertainment, television, movies, gaming, anime, comics, and broader American pop culture.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
Comfortable working in a deadline-driven newsroom environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working with entertainment, news, gaming, or pop culture publications.
Knowledge of social media trends and audience behavior.
Understanding of platform-specific creative requirements and best practices.
