Senior Accountant

Our client is an organization in the Janesville area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 4+ years of accounting experience, cost accounting experience, and strong attention to detail.

The salary range for this position is $93k-115k.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and execute month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and roll-forward schedules
• Conduct analytical reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results
• Assist with preparation of financial reporting packages
• Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and tax requirements
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation
• Contribute to the development and testing of internal controls
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement efficiencies
• Participate in system enhancements, automation initiatives, and user acceptance testing
• Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures
• Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, and other finance functions to ensure accurate reporting

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, internal audit, consolidation and tax
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
