Field Construction Coordinator
SHINE Technologies is seeking a Field Construction Coordinator to support design, construction, and commissioning activities to identify and resolve issues in completing the SHINE Medical Isotope Production Facility. Working under the direction of the Construction Manager, the Field Construction Coordinator serves as a day-to-day field point of contact between SHINE and its installation contractors, verifying that work is installed in accordance with approved design and work package requirements and keeping construction documentation, installed quantities, and field status information current.
This is a hands-on, field-based role well suited to a construction-oriented, resourceful person who is comfortable working across mechanical, electrical, structural steel, and welding scope elements. The Field Construction Coordinator coordinates and monitors contractor activities in the field, applying established procedures, drawings, and acceptance criteria, and escalates issues, proposed changes, and deviations to the Construction Manager for direction and resolution.
This is an onsite position located in Janesville, WI.
The base salary range for this position is $36.00 - $55.00 per hour plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
What You'll DoField Coordination
- Coordinate day-to-day field activities among the SHINE Construction Manager, General Contractor, field team members, and SHINE Engineering or external design agencies; raise issues and recommended resolutions to the Construction Manager for direction.
- Interface and collaborate with external stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to relay field requirements, gather status, and advance SHINE project goals.
- Attend daily and weekly construction coordination meetings; record and distribute assigned action items.
- Work with and assist all divisions of the company to execute activities required to complete the production facility and establish commercial operation.
Installation Verification and Quality
- Perform visual verifications to confirm that installed work scope aligns with approved design documents and SHINE Construction Program Work Package requirements, using established checklists and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate with Quality to schedule, witness, and document required testing and inspections in accordance with approved procedures.
- Identify, document, and track items adverse to Quality and Safety, and exercise stop-work authority in accordance with SHINE policy.
Construction Documentation and Reporting
- Acquire technical and construction knowledge of the production facility design, applicable regulatory requirements, and project status, and compile that knowledge into the reports, schedule updates, and field tracking tools used to drive the project to completion.
- Assist the Construction Planner with controlled document updates in the field, including work package revisions.
- Review Contractor Daily Quantity installation reports against observed field progress and report discrepancies to the Construction Manager.
- Support administration of installation contracts covering mechanical, electrical, structural steel, and welding scope elements by tracking deliverables, installed quantities, and field change documentation for Construction Manager review and approval.
Turnover and Administration
- Support construction walkdowns, punch list development, and system turnover documentation as scope transitions from construction into commissioning.
- Accurately record all hours worked each day and obtain approval from the Construction Manager, or delegate, in advance of working overtime.
- Other duties as assigned by the Construction Manager, or delegate.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certificate, completed apprenticeship, or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in capital construction projects working with engineering, procurement, testing, work planning and work execution on site.
