Description:
Join a fast-paced auction operation where attention to detail, customer service, and strong computer skills are essential. As a Website Content Coordinator, you will support weekly auctions by processing consignments, entering and maintaining auction information, preparing item descriptions and photos for online listings, registering bidders, and assisting customers throughout the auction process. This position offers a varied work environment with opportunities to travel to auctions and collection sites and work with a wide range of unique vintage collectibles and automotive-related items.
- Work with consignors to collect required information, documentation, and contracts needed to prepare items for sale.
- Write accurate and engaging descriptions for auction items and conduct research when additional information is needed.
- Enter and maintain customer, consignment, inventory, and auction information using computer systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Review contracts and paperwork, collect credit card payments, scan documents, and maintain accurate records.
- Load, organize, and process images for items appearing on the auction website using Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop.
- Register bidders and respond to customer questions and inquiries with professional, high-quality service.
- Perform physical inventory, tag items, and enter inventory information into computer systems.
- Assist with shipping and receiving administration as needed.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal departments to resolve questions and issues.
- Travel to auctions and collection sites as needed, approximately 25–40% of the time, including occasional weekends.
- Assist with auction setup and other duties as assigned.
- Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Excel and Google Drive.
- Experience with Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and data entry abilities.
- Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate across departments.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to travel for several days at a time when required.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds or more occasionally and perform extended periods of computer work, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
