Field Engineer – Mechanical
Join SHINE Technologies as a Field Engineer – Mechanical to identify and resolve issues related to planning and implementation of the process systems and mechanical systems of the SHINE Medical Isotope Production Facility. A hands‑on engineer with construction experience focused on piping, pumps, tubing, welding, pipe supports, and HVAC.
The Mechanical Field Engineer works closely with structural, electrical, and I&C engineers to identify and resolve issues in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, codes, subcontractor submittals, and the 3D model; conducting constructability reviews of existing and new engineering designs; ensuring configuration control and initiating Engineering Change Requests (ECRs); providing field oversight; and collaborating with contractors and engineering teams to resolve field issues.
Additional duties include drafting and responding to RFIs, generating and responding to ECRs, documenting progress, performing field reconnaissance, closing work packages in a timely manner, supporting safety walkdowns, and using Adobe or Bluebeam software.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in construction or project management; or ten (10) years’ experience as a field engineer.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction drawings, specifications, procedures, and government regulations.
- Experience in construction or operations of nuclear facilities (Part 50 or 70) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Bluebeam.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Team‑oriented and proactive self‑governance in problem resolution.
Base salary range: $105,000 – $135,000 per year, plus a comprehensive compensation package.
