Position Overview

Pro Mach is seeking a Field Service Technician for our service team. The role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting, installation, and customer interaction across the machine life‑cycle.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers throughout the life of a machine, including diagnosing operational problems.
  • Install, integrate, repair, and troubleshoot machinery of a complex design.
  • Ensure all established inspection, testing, quality, and operating specifications are met.
  • Guide customer personnel during plant machinery installations and integrations, and provide onsite service (repair and/or troubleshooting).
  • Identify and correct hardware or software discrepancies.
  • Identify new product opportunities and recommend product improvements.
  • Review customers’ parts inventory and advise on necessary parts to maintain stock.
  • Work from complex engineering drawings, specifications, handbooks, manuals, and detailed written and/or verbal instructions.
  • Support the Aftermarket team by responding to customer technical inquiries.
  • Function as a technical resource for Sales Representatives and the Engineering Design team to resolve installation/integration and repair issues.
  • Prepare trip reports updating the company on status and condition of installed equipment and additional equipment/parts opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience in technical support of an electromechanical product/system, preferably with formal technical training.
  • Electromechanical experience and skill with PLC programming is a plus.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and understand complex engineering designs, including wiring schematics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem‑solving ability with independent judgment.
  • Track record of successfully multitasking to meet timelines on deliverables.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 85%.
