Adjunct Instructor of Engineering - College of Integrated Studies
Job SummaryFixed‑term (Terminal) appointment to teach undergraduate engineering courses at UW‑Whitewater, Rock County campus for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Candidates eligible to teach at least 50% FTE may be considered for a salaried Lecturer title. Application acceptance is on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
Course Responsibilities- EGR 105 – Engineering Fundamentals
- EGR 110 – Engineering Graphics with CAD
- EGR 201 – Statics
- EGR 203 – Mechanics of Materials
- EGR 282 – Engineering Economics
University of Wisconsin‑Whitewater does not offer H‑1B or other work‑authorization visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.
CompensationPay is $1,867 per credit, with 15 credits equaling 1.0 Full‑Time Equivalent. Hired for more than 50% FTE may receive a salaried position commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
Required Qualifications- A Master’s Degree in engineering.
- OR a Master’s Degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in engineering.
- OR a Master’s Degree in a related field with strong evidence of teaching engineering.
- Experience teaching lower‑division college engineering or co‑requisite support courses.
- Experience using learning management software (e.g., Canvas) to deliver courses.
- Willingness and ability to actively participate in safety training and regulations.
- Ability to interact respectfully with individuals from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
