OpportunityThis is not just another engineering management role—it is a genuine seat at the strategic table. As Plant Engineering Manager in Janesville, Wisconsin, you will influence the direction of a flagship manufacturing facility that runs at a scale of over 500 employees. The company is a well-known leader in food manufacturing, and they are counting on you to bring forward innovative ideas and make them reality.
If you thrive on autonomy and visible impact, this position was built for you.
Your core mission will be to drive capital planning and project execution from concept to completion. You will partner with senior stakeholders in Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Finance to shape a multi-year roadmap that improves automation, reduces cost, and boosts production efficiency. On any given day you might be overseeing an ammonia refrigeration upgrade, coaching your utilities team, or presenting a business case for the next big investment.
The work you do here will directly touch product quality, plant reliability, and the careers of the people around you.
We are looking for an experienced engineering leader who has spent meaningful time on the floor of a food manufacturing environment—ideally six or more years. You need a bachelor's degree in engineering, a track record of cradle-to-grave capital project management, and the strategic muscle to manage multi-million dollar budgets. Equally important is your ability to think like an innovator: you question the status quo, you champion continuous improvement, and you earn influence without formal authority.
Career stability matters here; the team values professionals who build a story over multiple years, not those who jump every two.
In return, you will receive a strong compensation package including a base salary that can reach $180,000, a 15% bonus, a 9% 401k match, and full relocation support to help you settle into the Janesville area. This is a high-visibility role with direct access to the plant manager and a fast-track to future leadership opportunities. If you are ready to shape the technical future of a world-class operation, we want to hear from you.
