Responsible for assisting guests with transactions, balancing booth imprest, and maintaining accuracy throughout all phases of the balancing process.
Responsibilities- Accurately balances assigned booth. Verifies opening/closing inventory. Verifies all money that is put into working inventory.
- Performs exchanges to keep imprest at the set amount.
- Issues Gift Certificates to guests.
- Cashes checks, chips, gift certificates, and eTICKETs into money for guests, in a courteous, timely manner.
- Manages “Fill/Credit” requests for the Table Pit Area when working the Service Counter.
- Generates computer slips for slot jackpots and disputes, verified per computer screen and/or Slot Department employee.
- Tracks Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act transactions on the Multiple Transaction Logs.
- Maintains a working knowledge of facilities and special events on the property to advise guests accordingly.
- Assists other Cashiers within the Cage, as needed.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with lead persons, supervisors, and co-workers.
- Contributes to the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
- Maintains accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.
- May work at either the guest window or the service counter window.
- Responsible for repayment of any shortages.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or equivalent; demonstrated good work history.
- Must be able to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Six months minimum money handling experience; strong numerical literacy and computer proficiency.
- Effective communication skills; highly numbers-oriented and computer-literate.
- Knowledge of accounting procedures.
- Proficiency with computers and calculators.
- Background checks and gaming license eligibility as per Menominee Tribal Code and Tribal Gaming Compact.
- Known disqualifying factors include crimes requiring sex-offender reporting, recent felony or gambling-related offenses, theft/fraud/misrepresentation, violence or drug-related offenses within the past two years, and any pending matters.
- Hiring in Gaming Position is contingent upon criminal background check.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic instructions; respond to guest inquiries.
- Ability to perform arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to various situations.
The job requires regular talking/hearing, standing, walking, sitting, and manual dexterity with hands and fingers. Occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling may be required. Vision requirements include multiple types of vision for close to distant ranges and depth perception. Tribal Requirements- Must withstand a background check and be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
