About the roleAs Finance Manager – US, you will be the primary finance and administration contact for the US operation, responsible for owning day‑to‑day financial execution while ensuring alignment with Group policies, controls, and governance.
This is a hands‑on role with broad exposure across accounting, banking, payroll, reporting, and operational support. You will work closely with the Australian finance team, US operations, and external advisors to ensure accurate reporting, strong cash flow, and compliant financial processes.
Key Responsibilities- Own day‑to‑day US accounting, including journals, reconciliations, and financial record‑keeping.
- Support sound business decision‑making through accurate reporting, analysis, and compliance with Group policies.
- Manage end‑to‑end AR: invoicing, collections, dispute resolution, and overdue balances.
- Coordinate US AP with the Australian team, reviewing approvals, managing vendor queries, and ensuring timely payments.
- Administer US bank accounts, credit cards, and payment runs under dual authorisation.
- Process weekly payroll, administer benefits (health, 401(k), leave), support onboarding, and maintain employee records.
- Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Deliver rolling 13‑month forecasts and analyse revenue, COGS, and OPEX, identifying key trends and anomalies.
- Serve as primary US contact for audits, coordinating documentation with Australian finance.
- Support payroll, sales, and federal/state tax compliance with external advisors.
- Act as local system owner for Xero, CIN7, and Net Suite, ensuring data integrity and access controls.
- Support site operations, procurement, inventory, freight, office administration, and implement process improvements.
- CA/CPA or CIMA qualification is required.
- Experience in a small business environment, preferably in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with IFRS standards is ideal but not required.
- Strong background in finance with a hands‑on approach.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional team setting.
- Experience managing audits and tax filings is highly regarded.
