Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, WI is seeking Surgical Technologist Students to join our team!

The Surgical Tech Intern works under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist. As an Intern, you will collaborate with the precepting Surgical Technologist to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff by working in accordance with the Aspirus standards of practice and by adhering to Aspirus policies, procedures, universal precautions, and sterile technique.

• Students who are currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
• Surgical Tech Intern I – 1st year students.
• Surgical Tech Intern II – 2nd year students.
• Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

• Surgical Tech Intern I will work in Sterile Processing.
• Surgical Tech Intern II will work in the OR.
• Opportunities to enhance skills.
• Increased understanding of processes.
• Paid position.
• Many students who are interns accept a technologist role before graduation.

Flexible, occasional status; will work with student hours.

Intern I: $16.00/Hour, Intern II: $17.00/Hour
