Foot‑In‑The‑Door Help Desk / Resolution Specialist

We are looking for an IT enthusiast who will take ownership of a portion of each client’s network and communicate technical issues to clients in clear, non‑technical language. The role is entry‑level and part‑time, with a clear path to growth for the right candidate.

• Within two weeks: master our documentation procedures, ticketing system, product and service lines, and pass all online training tests with at least an 80% score.
• Within thirty days: fully understand our network monitoring, reporting tasks, and all related processes and procedures.
• Daily: review backup solutions for all clients, produce detailed reports of the previous day’s backups by 9 a.m., and resolve any failing backups in direct coordination with the client.
• Weekly and monthly: examine network and security logs for anomalies, translate findings into plain language, generate reports, and send them to clients.
• Within six months: begin taking on broader help‑desk duties such as PC and server preparation, fielding help‑desk calls, and liaising with clients to deliver high‑quality service and support.

• Background in customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with people and technology alike; outgoing and able to talk on the phone.
• Experience troubleshooting network issues.
• Some form of IT certification, degree, or relevant work experience is a plus.
• Must live within 30 miles of Janesville.
