Project Scheduling Manager – Major Nuclear Capital Project | USA

If you’ve mastered Primavera P6 and thrive on bringing order to complex, multidisciplinary construction programmes this could be the role for you.

We’re supporting a large-scale, first-of-a-kind nuclear capital project and looking for a Project Scheduling Manager to own the master schedule and lead a team of schedulers driving delivery.

This isn’t routine EPC scheduling. This is high-visibility, high-complexity programme control on a technically demanding nuclear build.

The Role

You’ll take full ownership of the integrated project schedule - leading updates, driving best practice, identifying risk early, and ensuring cross-functional alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, and equipment installation.

You’ll also manage and mentor a team of schedulers, setting the standard for schedule integrity and performance reporting across the programme.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own and coordinate all updates to the integrated project schedule
  • Execute weekly project-wide schedule governance and administrative tasks
  • Lead cross-functional planning sessions to ensure accurate and timely schedule inputs
  • Proactively identify schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Report schedule variances and forecast impacts to project leadership
  • Generate forecasts, variance reports, and executive-level schedule documentation
  • Drive schedule best practices and enforce process consistency
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of project schedulers
What They’re Looking For
  • Degree in construction, engineering, science, or business-related discipline
  • 6+ years’ scheduling experience using Primavera P6
  • 3+ years’ experience managing personnel
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and reporting capability
  • Ability to coordinate complex, non-routine capital projects
  • Confident communicator capable of engaging senior stakeholders
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience supporting large construction or capital projects preferred
Why This Role
  • True ownership of the master schedule.
  • Leadership responsibility within a major nuclear programme.
  • High-impact role influencing project delivery, risk management, and executive decision-making.
