Job SummaryResponsible for the improved operational uptime of the facility and systems through an expanded Preventative Maintenance program.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain preventative maintenance program through ERP.
- Repair, adjust, maintain and re-assemble machines, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
- Troubleshoot primary and secondary manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair and fabricate primary and secondary manufacturing equipment including: welding, cutting, assembly, painting, finishing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of Injection Molding and Auxiliary support equipment, including:
Arburg, Van Dorn and Toyo Injection Molding Machines, Ultrasonic Welders and Multi-axis Industrial Robots. - Install and qualify above equipment as necessary.
- Document custom equipment and modifications.
- Specify and order replacement components to maintain spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate regularly with multiple departments.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Two-year technical degree and a minimum of five years’ experience, or High School diploma / GED and 9 years’ experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good troubleshooting skills, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and robotics.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Formal education / training in hydraulic and electrical areas.
- Experience with in the medical device industry.
- Previous experience using lean manufacturing concepts.
- Previous ISO experience.
- Valid driver’s license
- Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally
- Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously
- Exposure to machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
