Underwater Pressure Tester – Manufacturing

Janesville, WI | $20.00/hour to start

We are hiring Underwater Pressure Testers for a manufacturing facility in Janesville! This is a hands‑on position focused on quality checking steel tubing and pipe to make sure products meet quality standards.

This position may be temp-to-hire for the right candidate based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

Schedule

A Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–5:00 PM
B Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–5:00 AM

What You'll Do
  • Perform underwater pressure testing on steel tubing by placing tubing into water-filled testing vats.

  • Inspect the water for bubbles or other signs of leaks to identify potential defects.

  • Follow testing procedures and quality standards.

  • Interpret testing data and use specified measuring devices.

  • Move and position tubing and materials as needed.

  • Assist with general labor duties throughout the manufacturing area.

  • Help keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.

  • Participate in company-wide 6S activities and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Work as part of a team while also being able to work independently.

  • Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.

This position does not require forklift operation or machine operation.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical certification is a plus.

  • Ability to read and write English.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.

  • Ability to interpret basic data and use measuring devices.

  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable working in a noisy manufacturing environment
    .

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access equipment and materials.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to move and handle tubing and materials throughout the work area.

Pay & Opportunity

Starting pay: $20.00/hour

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
