OverviewBio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., operates plasma donation centers. Medical Support Specialists (Plasma Center Nurse) support plasma center operations under guidance from the Center Manager, Assistant Manager, and Center Physician.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, including education on HIV/AIDS and self‑exclusion.
- Conduct medical history interviews, physical examinations, blood tests, and review serological protein electrophoresis results.
- Evaluate donor reactions and execute medical emergency SOPs, including standing orders and transport to emergency care.
- Coordinate with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or technical issues.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and coordinate occupational health/ER evaluations.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support investigations of pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (e.g., EMT-Paramedic).
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Basic IV therapy proficiency and fulfillment of state requirements.
- Completion of Bio Life Medical Support Specialist FDA‑approved training.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
Location: USA - WI - Janesville
Hourly Wage Range: $23.85 - $32.79
The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on factors such as experience, education, certifications, and location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, well‑being benefits, up to 80 hours of sick time per calendar year, and up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
